Below is a listing of the more prominent vessels within the Deisho People's Defense Force.

The Deisho build their vessels based on their perceived military needs and assign them where they are most effective.  While they rarely categorize their vessels, Terran Intelligence has done it for them.  The categories depicted herein are for generalization and recognition.  For simplicity, the common weight classes is depicted here.

Much like their Mauridian neighbors to the galactic north, the Deisho employ small and numerous frigate sized vessels to be used as skirmishers and to disrupt threat formations.  Despite the apparent usefulness of frigates within the Deisho battle stratagem, the assignment is considered dishonorable.  Those who have fallen into disfavor with The Party or have yet to prove themselves in battle are those that crew frigates.

DO'MING'TAO CLASS

YEN'MING'TAO CLASS

Designated for patrol, pursuit and raiding, destroyers are a bit of an enigma within the DPDF.  Oftentimes, destroyers are the jack-of-all-trades, expected to perform a wide variety of duties of which they are never really exceptional at carrying out.  To crew a destroyer, while considered a step up from the lowly frigates can be viewed as suicide as the blame for failure is placed upon the crew, not the ship that is inadequate to perform such assignments.

SHI'DONG'TAO CLASS

JIN'DONG'TAO CLASS

The defacto backbone of the Deisho People's Defense Force.   This weight class sees most of the fighting and is often designated as a front line vessel of war.  Cruisers are considered choice assignments as they are heralded as a position of glory for The Party.

Employment of fighter assets was a hard lesson for the Deisho to learn.  Many ships and able crews were lost simply because the Deisho lacked the ability to adequately deal with threat fighters.   This weight class, while relatively new to the People's Defense Force, is quickly gaining a prestigious position within the Deisho battle strategy.

DOM'OUNG'TAO CLASS

GARM'OUNG'TAO CLASS

This weight class represents the powerful and prestigious command and control vessels that lead all Deisho space engagements.  Only the most prized individuals within The Party are allowed to crew these vessels, oftentimes regardless of their actual capabilities.  Armed and armored to the gills, these vessels represent the sheer might of will of The Party.
